HOUSTON, TX

Houston thieves are becoming so desperate they are stealing toilet parts to get the copper.

Thieves stole a urinal flush valve which was made of brass and chrome plate from the men’s room at a southwest Houston Subway restaurant.

Copper and other metal thefts are becoming more and more common in the Houston area, as thieves can make up to $3 a lb for parts at scrap metal yards.
