A South Florida nuclear reactor plant in Turkey Point, 30 miles south of Miami automatically shut down Tuesday plunging three million people into the dark. Businesses, schools, even stop light came to a massive halt as the lights went out throughout the state.
Officials have ruled it a technical problem and not a criminal situation, yet they are unable to at this time explain why these plants reactors close to spontaneously shut down without warning.
Power is expected to be restored by 6:00 pm EST to all affected locations.
